Advent ornaments

These are my new favorite thing I made this year to go along with my December Daily. These are courtesy of Donna Downey who sells the kit and you do the stamping and the sewing. I got the idea of doing this through Ali Edwards who does a few different advent ideas. I love making the whole holiday season truly mean something more than just a day of gifts. I will have the kids pick out one of them a day and do that action, such as Do something nice for someone today. Make someone laugh. Write someone special a letter and send it to them. This 7Gypsies printers tray as been sitting for bout a year just waiting to be used! It came black but i wanted to distress it a bit with Tim Holtz distress stains ( I have a love affair with his products) Made the little flowers with Tims die cut and rock candy. And the paper was from the Simple stories I used to do December Daily~ that has gotten some mileage!! If i tell you those presents are from paper bliss from what 8 years ago??? WOW hitting the stash!! Happy to look at this on the wall everyday :)

Made these ornaments so the kids will pick out that day and follow that action. I have to finish them up by sewing the batting inside the 2 layers. I bought the kit from Donna Downey.

I had already posted the altered book but uploading from flickr it just made it easier to do thewhole album at once. I am so addicted to how easy flickr is for sharing why wasn't i doing this before!!
The canvas is done with glass bead gel (the red) and it is awesome stuff!!
